7 Inspiring Balcony Decorating Ideas

🌷 Spring, our favorite season, has finally arrived, and with it came the ideal time to deal with for the most of us the favorite part of the apartment and the one that often plays a crucial role when buying a property - the terrace. Although a good part of us use our balcony/terrace, for stacking excess items or drying laundry, it is actually a space that can and should provide us with much more than that. With a couple of smaller or slightly larger interventions, those extra few squares can become your personal oasis. 💡🌴

Option 1 - bar counters

This minimal intervention definitely brings maximum benefit! With a couple of bar stools, your balcony becomes your personal café. Add two lower chairs + jardinieres with tulips and lavender, and the Mediterranean itself arrived at your home 🍇🥐

Option 2 - office

If your home is too small to accommodate quality work space, you can make it yourself right on your terrace. Even a small but well-used corner is good enough: a custom table, closed hanging shelves, a comfortable chair and the obligatory plants for maintaining positive energy 📓🌿

Option 3 - living room extension

Extra space for socializing and relaxation is always a great idea. Place some comfortable furniture pieces, a coffee table, curtains... An even better impression is achieved if you replace the standard door as an exit to the terrace with as large a sliding door as possible. Visually erase the boundary between interior and exterior! 🌞🌷

Option 4 - reading corner

We notice more and more a tendency to actualize reading and in general to promote reading as the ultimate cool activity, which makes us very happy ❤Whether it's a realistic indicator of the reading culture or just a trend is not so important - we believe that for many who entered reading solely because of their status on social networks it will still become/remain the integral part of their life. Make your balcony your personal corner of peace and enjoyment. Given the amount of light, it is certainly an ideal position. Whether it's an interior swing, a comfortable armchair or a lazy bag, with a couple of pillows and a cup of your favorite drink, the enjoyment can begin! 📚☕

Option 5 - multi-purpose benches

Most of us have a problem with a lack of storage space. That is why it is a great option to combine beautiful and useful - practical benches along the entire length of the terrace or just in one corner, which also serve as lockers for storing things that you do not use so often (Christmas decorations, seasonal shoes etc.). A couple of nice sponge seating pillows and voila – your own all inclusive terrace is ready! 😊😊

Option 6 - urban garden

So much has been said about the benefits of greenery and plants not only for the appearance of our interiors but also for our mental well-being. Greenery affects our inner balance and gives us the the much needed dose of optimism and energy. It is not necessary to have a huge space on the terrace for our personal "botanical garden". Wisely used shelves or interesting wooden or metal ladders can create a green wall for us in one go as a fantastic base for enjoyment. Also, by lifting potted plants from the floor in this way and using collapsible additional furniture, maintaining such a garden will be unencumbered, and thus the enjoyment of it will be that much greater 🌷💚

Option 7 - terrace as a workshop

Small terraces and balconies can be fantastic mini workshops for all our DIY projects. First of all, because they are easy to clean and because terraces are by their nature the best ventilated spaces in your home. A good and simple system of storing tools on the walls, a small desk, shelves, and even a space for storing various equipment for outdoor activities - with a little thought, everything can be combined to be both functional and beautiful. Bonus tip - lift everything you can off the floor! This will greatly simplify maintenance and thus make it easier for all your creative juices to flow 🔧🤓🧰

We have walked you through several interesting and completely different variations, so now you can make yourself a cup of coffee, think about the type of space you would enjoy the most, let your imagination run wild and enjoy working out your ideas! Happy furnishing! 🍀
